Job experience becomes an additional qualification to complete the MBA. But that is not to say that you did a degree after getting a diploma in mechanical engineering. There are certain procedures and entrance exams are there to get MBA certificate at IIM.
I have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have been working for over ten years. Now I want to do MBA in IIM. Is this the right decision?
- Taking decision to do an MBA course after ten years of employment is the right one.
- Job experience becomes an additional qualification to complete the MBA. But that is not to say that you did a degree after getting a diploma in mechanical engineering.
- To do a Post Graduation course like MBA at IIM or any other educational institution, one has to complete a degree with a duration of at least three years.
- First you have to study for any degree in regular / open university / distance education system.
- If you intend to do BTech, do a three year BTech Mechanical Engineering course full time.
- Then write the CAT entrance exam, get a better score and get admission in IIM through written ability test and personal interviews.
