How you get promotions in RBI job?

Candidates who are appointed as Grade 'B' Officer (Manager) in Reserve Bank of India have the possibility to step up to the level of Deputy Governor through promotions. If you excel in RBI internal exams, you can reach higher positions. The order of promotions is as follows- Manager (Grade 'B' Officer), Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager, General Manager, Chief General Manager, Principal Chief General Manager, Executive Director, Deputy Governor, Governor. Follow these steps to get the job

  1. Make a study timeline with the exam time. It should be divided into weeks. Decide what to complete in what week. At least 2 topics should be completed daily.
  2. Read current affairs daily. They should be revised every week. Only important things should be read in newspapers. Do not spend too much time.
  3. Preparedness should be reviewed every week. It should be observed whether it is proceeding properly.

How to Prepare for Written Exam!

  1. There are different subjects in prelims and mains. So there is no possibility of joint formation. But preparation for both should be started at the same time.
  2. Prelims exam is similar to prelims of other bank exams. But the General Awareness section is an addition. As this is only qualifying exam candidates should focus their attention mostly on mains exam.
  3. But in order to qualify in the prelims exam, you have to devote time and prepare for the respective subjects.
  4. All subjects are important as they have to qualify separately in all subjects.
  5. The question papers of previous exams should be examined thoroughly. Observe how many questions are coming from which topics and focus on the topics that get more questions. So that you can get enough marks to qualify in prelims.
  6. Percentage, Profit and Loss, Simple/Compound Interest, Time-Work, Time-Distance, Average, Mensuration, Mixer-Allegation, Permutations-Combinations, Probability, Data Interpretation topics are important in Aptitude for Prelims Exam.
  7. Reasoning includes seating arrangement, puzzles, syllogism, inequality, coding-decoding, directions, blood relations etc. Model questions using grammar in English (Jumbled Sentence, Filling the Blanks, Close Test, Spotting Errors etc.), comprehension should be taken care of.
  8. For General Awareness Current Affairs, Financial, Economics News, Government Schemes/Agreements, Banking Process, Rates, Terminology, Static G.K. Study well.
  9. The mains exam for general posts has Economic, Social Issues, Descriptive English, General Finance and Management sections. There are objective and descriptive questions related to these. You should understand the syllabus thoroughly and prepare accordingly. Currently, most of the material is available online for free. It can be used.
